Principal Teachers are currently recruiting for a Secondary Teacher of Music for the remainder of the summer term 2026 in the Catterick area. This is to start immediately, with the successful candidate teaching Music in KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music in KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are engaging, dynamic, and effective.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
  • Monitor, assess and provide feedback on student progress to help students achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to maintain a high standard of education.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Music.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
