We are looking for an experienced and committed teacher to cover a maternity leave position in a mixed Reception and Year 1 class.

đź“Ť Small village primary school in the Nidderdale area đź“… 2nd November 2026 to 22nd October 2027

The role:

  • Mixed Reception/Year 1 class (currently 18 pupils)
  • Supported by a GTA and an SEN GTA within the classroom
  • School uses Little Wandle, so experience delivering Little Wandle phonics would be highly desirable

This will be a long-term supply position for the full academic year, offering excellent continuity and stability.

Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS)
  • Recent EYFS/KS1 teaching experience
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and the Primary National Curriculum
  • High expectations for all students and the determination to help all children succeed
  • The ability to work effectively in a team of teachers, support staff and outside agencies
  • Passionate about teaching
  • Enthusiastic about working with children
  • Able to manage behaviour effectively
  • Experienced in planning and assessing to a high standard
