As we step into another exciting week ahead, here’s what we have been up to this past week at the PT Hub!

Last week was RSPB Big Bird Watch Week so we prepared by practising our woodwork skills and learning to make an ‘Im-peck-able bird box to attract some friends! 🐦 We can’t wait to finish it and put it up somewhere nice for them to visit!

On 25th January we celebrated Robert Burns by learning about who he was, listening to his famous songs and poems (and trying to work out the English translations!) and learning about what is eaten at a traditional Burns Supper! We then followed a recipe to make Highlanders – they were a huge hit!

Knitting Club has some new recruits this week with more Hubsters requesting to join! We’ve had students teaching teachers! 🥰 🧶 One Hubster, who has never knitted before said ‘I love this, it really helps calm me’.

During one of our thrive sessions this week, the Hubsters undertook The Shrinking Blanket activity. They worked together as a team to ensure everyone could stand on an increasingly smaller blanket! As the blanket shrank, they had to communicate and strategize how to get everyone on the blanket at the same time! Everyone worked well together and it was so much fun 🥰
