Passionate about safeguarding children and young people

Principal Teachers are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We operate a stringent recruitment process, which goes over and above the mandatory checks, giving schools the assurance that our staff are of the highest calibre.

We also operate the PT Quality Assurance Promise, which comprises of a set of standards designed to safeguard children and drive up the quality of teaching, supporting and learning. All new recruits to PT are inducted through our Quality Assurance Training Course, helping us to maintain our high standards.

All candidates are asked to complete a Safeguarding General Awareness Module to promote best practice and keep candidates up to date with safeguarding policies.

PT Hub

As well as providing high quality staff to schools, we also offer PT Hub – an alternative education provision (AEP) based in Catterick. Working in close liaison with local schools and North Yorkshire County Council, we offer a specialist service, grounded in the Thrive approach, for disengaged secondary and primary aged pupils.

The Hub specialises in supporting children with SEMH (social emotional and mental health needs) and also caters for pupils with medical needs, or SEND.
